Agriculture

Agriculture is our main practical work activity, since we work in a farming village.

Today we have:

9 pre-teens in a pilot plantain program.

These boys also do business buying and selling corn.

3 families in a pilot Dragon Fruit program.

40 families in the organic farming program on corn plots.

10 beehives for honey cultivation.

90 young people and teenagers growing beans, sweet potatoes, cassava and plantain.

We are the only ones in Malawi producing tapioca flour and toasted cassava flour.

We have already planted more than 3,000 trees.

Whenever we can, we buy corn during the harvest and resell it at a fair price when the price is high. We do this to help needy families and combat market exploitation.

We dream of producing charcoal made from branches and leaves.

The idea is to promote agribusiness with more profits to give families the opportunity to live with dignity without having to deforest and make charcoal.
